Organization at a Glance
Panchhari Upazila Protibandhi Kalyan Sangstha is an Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPD) working in Khagrachhari district of Bangladesh. The organization was established on 07 January 2000, involving 177 persons with disabilities with support from its own initiatives. Now, the organization has a total of 225 members; among them are males, 145, and female 80. The organization implements its activities, ensuring the equal participation of men and women with disabilities.
According to the bylaws of the organization, there are 225 members in its General Committee, and 19 members are in the Executive Committee. The organizational activities are implemented by the staff and volunteers following the directives of the General Secretary/ Executive Director. Through the direct involvement of men and women with disabilities, the organization is working to promote the rights of persons with disabilities and improve their lives with support from government and non-government organizations.
Besides, the organization strives to partner with mainstreaming organizations for Disability Inclusion in their programs by ensuring the active and meaningful participation of persons with disabilities and providing capacity-building and technical assistance.
